Questions

Frequently asked questions

What ages can join Gracie Bullyproof?

Gracie Bullyproof is built for children ages 3–12, placed into one of four groups by age and development.

Is the program violent?

No. The program is explicitly non-violent. Kids learn to control and de-escalate situations using leverage, plus verbal assertiveness skills, without punching or kicking.

Does it help with bullying?

Yes. Bullyproof combines confidence and presence with practical control techniques, so children feel calm and capable rather than fearful.

Is karate or Jiu-Jitsu better for my child?

It depends on your goal, but for real-world self-defense and anti-bullying, Jiu-Jitsu has a structural edge: a child learns to control a bigger, stronger aggressor without throwing a punch, and most schoolyard confrontations end up grabbing and wrestling rather than trading strikes. Karate builds excellent discipline through striking and forms. For younger kids especially, our non-violent, game-based approach is the gentler start.

Can my child try a class first?

Absolutely. Start with the free 10-day trial and let your child experience it before you decide.
